What Happens In Vagus Stays In Vagus - Unless You Breathe Differently: A Neurophysiological View Of the Vagus Nerve, Trauma and Recovery Through the Lens Of Modern Spirituality.
This course will focus on understanding the basic neurophysiological processes of the vagus nerve in the physical body and the reactions clients have to other people and their environment due to repressed memories. Participants will identify how trauma is repressed in the body and how these repressed memories trigger fearful behavior. Many times, the reactions to trauma and loss result in spiritual experiences (SE) such as a Near-Death Experience (NDE) with possible connections to spirituality and the psychic field. The vagus nerve and the silver cord are the energetic conduits that take the spiritual/etheric body from the physical body. The psychological ancestors discussed in this presentation include James, Jung, Maslow and Groff. Differences between a Spiritual Experience (SE) and a hallucination will be defined.
Course Objectives
