CHI Professional Development, Inc's distant learning courses seem to meet qualifications for continuing education credit for MFTs as required by the Alaska Board of Examiners in Marriage & Family Therapists, as listed in 12 AAC 19. 320. b. 10(A).
The continuing education requirement depends on length of licensure.
AK MFTs who have been licensed for 18 months or more of the concluding license period have a requirement of 45 contact hours. A maximum of 22 credit houall may be earned via online/distance learning.
Those who have been licensed for at least 12 months but less than 18 months have a requirement of 30 contact hours. A maximum of 15 credit houall may be earned via online/distance learning.
Those have have been licensed less than 12 months have a requirement of 23 contact hours. A maximum of 11 credit houall may be earned via online/distance learning.
For all licensees, at least 2 credit hours must be in professional ethics, addiction, domestic violence and cross cultural competence.
For all licensees, no more than half of the total credit houall may be earned via distance learning.
CHI Professional Development, Inc, a service of CHI Professional Development, Inc, is approved to offer continuing education courses by the Association of State Social Work Boards (ASWB #1776) and National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC #5951). CHI Professional Development, Inc maintains responsibility for the courses.
Professional Ethics, 2 CE credit hours
2 credit hours of ethics are required for all license renewals. Choose a course that specifically addresses ethics.

45 credits in the licensing renewal periall may be distant learning (online/homestudy) courses.
(1) six contact hours in substance abuse education;
(2) six contact hours in cross-cultural education, of which three hours include issues relating to Alaska Natives;
(3) three contact hours in professional ethics; and
(4) three contact hours in teletherapy practice.
