Class Description
This course provides a framework with approaches for social workers to learn more about self-care. Self-Care 101 is a training to learn how to create a personalized self-care plan to organize one’s life according to individual lifestyle. Self-Care is individual and in this class, participants will gain the knowledge necessary to apply self-care in their personal life, but also assist clients in creating their own plan to meet daily needs. As a result of successfully completing this course, participants will be able to: -Educate others about self-care -Create personalized self-care plans -Recognize and manage personal biases to allow professional practice to make ethical decisions when it comes to self-care -Provide education and guidance to the community about self-care - Plan and facilitate self-care workshops and events The class outline will explore the following areas of self-care. 1. What is Self-Care? 2. Self-Care Practices 3. Introduction of MY O.W.N Self-care Model 4. Class Activities 5. Goal Sheet 6. 24- Hour Window Form 7. Journaling Prompts 8. Self-Care Model Guide 9. Art Therapy Closing D. Ramirez has been providing psychotherapy under supervision treating depression, anxiety, and PTSD. As a Certified Medical Cannabis Consultant, Ms. Ramirez does the initial evaluation for people who want to use cannabis as a treatment method for medical or mental health conditions. In addition, as a Certified Cannabis Instructor, she teaches several cannabis courses such as the Certified Medical Cannabis Consultant and Cannabis Advisor. Ms. Ramirez has additional certifications in mindfulness meditation, health and healing, and brain health.

· Sign into the workshop on time. We will start promptly and there will be a cutoff for entry.
· You are required to stay logged in and actively participate throughout the entire presentation.
· Your attendance will be verified by the logon information provided by ZOOM.
· Once the course is completed and your attendance is verified, you will receive a link to the course survey.
· After completion of the survey, you will have the opportunity to print or download a PDF copy of your certificate.
